The air  filter is  located in front  of the  evaporator
unit  behind   the  glove  box.
It  operates   to  decrease  pollutants  from   enter-
ing  the car  and  to  filter the  air.
To replace  the air  filter,  refer to  the page  6-16.

Replace   the  filter   every   12,000  miles
km)  or  once a  year.  If  the  car  is
being  driven   in  severe   conditions  such
as  dusty,   rough   roads,  more   frequent
air  filter   inspections   and  changes   are
required.
