The system   is alw ays in  the “ON ” mode  unless:
This is to  prevent  overheating   of the  brake system  and  is
a norm al cond ition.  The system   will rem ain disabled   for
abou t 4 minu tes until  the brakes  have cooled . The system
will autom  atically reactivate   and  turn  off the TRAC  OFF
light.

The  TRAC  OFF  switch   has   been  used   to  turn   the
system  off;

There  is a Anti-Lock  Brake  System  malfunction;
There  is a Traction  Control  System  malfunction;
If you r vehicle  becom es stu ck in mud,  ice,  or snow,  turn
the  Traction   Control   System  Off  before   attem pting   to
“rock”  the  vehicle  free.
The  system   has   been   autom atically   deactivated    to
prevent  damage  to the  brake system  due  to overheated
brake  tem peratu res.

NOTE:
Extend ed  heavy   use  of  Traction  Control   may
cause  the  system   to  deactivate   and  turn   on  the  TRAC
OFF Light  located  in  the instru ment  cluster.
