MAINTENANCEPROCEDURES
Your dealer has the qualified service personnel, special tools
and equipment to perform all service operations in an
expert manner. Service Manu als are available which include
detailed service information for your vehicle. Refer to these
manuals before attem pting any procedure yourself.
The pages that follow contain the required maintenance
services determ ined by the engineers who designed you r
vehicle.
Besides the maintenance item s for which there are fixed
maintenance intervals, there are other item s that shou ld
operate satisfactorily withou t period ic maintenance.
However, if a malfunction of these item s does occur, it
could adversely affect the engine or vehicle perform ance.
These item s shou ld be insp ected if a malfunction is
observed or suspected .

system s can resu lt in civil penalties being assessed
against you .

EngineOil
You can be badly injured working on or around a
motor vehicle. Do only that service work for which
youhavetheknowledgeandtheproperequipment.If
you have any doubt about your ability to perform a
servicejob,takeyourvehicletoacompetentmechanic.
CheckingOilLevel
To assu re prop er lubrication of you r vehicle’s engine, the
engine oil must be maintained at the correct level. Check
the oil level at regu lar intervals, such as every fuel stop .
