THINGS TO KNOW BEFORE STARTING YOUR VEHICLE
NOTE: Pressing the LOCK button on the keyfob while
you are insid e the vehicle will activate the Security
Alarm . Opening a door with the Security Alarm activated
will cause the alarm to sou nd . Press the UNLOCK button
to deactivate the Security Alarm .
The “Sound Horn On Lock” featu re can be reactivated by
rep eating this proced ure.
To unlatch the trunk:
Press the tru nk button on the transm itter two times to
unlatch the tru nk.
The “Remote Unlock Driver ’s Door 1st” featu re can be
reactivated by rep eating this proced ure.
Using The Panic Alarm:
To turn the panic alarm featu re ON or OFF, press and
hold the PANIC button on the transm itter for at least one
second and release. When the panic alarm is on, the
head lights and park lights will flash, the horn will pulse
on and off and the interior lights will turn on.
To lock the doors:
Press and release the LOCK button on the transm itter to
lock all doors. The turn signal lights will flash once and
the horn will chirp once to acknow ledge the signal. If
desired , the “Sound Horn On Lock” featu re can be
turned on or off. On electronic vehicle inform ation center
(EVIC) equ ipped vehicles, refer to “Personal Settings ” in
the “Electronic Vehicle Inform ation Center (EVIC)” sec-
tion of this manu al. On non-EVIC equ ipped vehicles,
perform the follow ing step s:
The panic alarm will stay on for 3 minu tes unless you
turn it off by pressing the PANIC button a second time or
if the vehicle speed is 15 mph (24 km/ h) or greater.
NOTE:
• swTheitchedinteriorto thelightsACCwillortuONrn offpositionwhen afterthe ignitionthe panicis
alarm is activated . However, the exterior lights and
horn will rem ain on.

Press the LOCK button for 4 to 10 second s.
2.
While the LOCK button is pressed (after 4 second s),
press the PANIC button. Release both buttons.
