STARTING AND OPERATING
The Tire Pressu re Monitoring Telltale Light will
illuminate in the instru ment cluster, and an au-
dible chim e will be activated when one or more
Mod ules mounted in three of the four wheel wells,
variou s Tire Pressu re Monitoring System Disp lay Mes-
sages in the EVIC, and Telltale Light.
tire pressu res is low. The Tire Pressu re Monitoring Tell-
tale Light will flash on and off for 10 to 60 second s when
a system fault is detected . The flash cycle will rep eat
every ten minu tes or until the fault cond ition is rem oved
and reset.
NOTE: For vehicles with optional wheel/ tire sizes and
significantly different tire placard pressu res, the placard
pressu re valu e and the low-pressu re threshold valu e is
re-p rogram mable at you r authorized dealer to accom mo-
date the custom er selected wheel/ tire combinations rec-
ommend ed by Daim lerChrysler.
The Tire Pressu re Monitoring System consists of the
follow ing components:
The follow ing Љwarnings Љ will cause a text message to be
displayed , an audible chim e to sou nd and the tire pres-
sure Telltale Light to illuminate. The audible chim e will
occur once every ignition cycle for each ЉwarningЉ de-
tected . The tire pressu re Telltale Light will illuminate
continu ously (solid ) and will rem ain illuminated until
the warning cond ition is rem oved / reset.

Tire Pressu re Monitoring System Disp lay Messages in
the EVIC
When the approp riate cond itions exist, the Electronic
Vehicle Inform ation Center (EVIC) displays the follow ing
messages.

The system consists of tire pressu re monitoring sensors
attached to each wheel throu gh the valve stem mounting
hole, a central receiver module, Wheel Sensor Trigger
