UNDERSTANDING THE FEATURES OF YOUR VEHICLE
POWER TILT/TELESCOPING STEERING COLUMN
IF EQUIPPED
To tilt the steering column, move the lever up or down as
desired . To lengthen or shorten the steering column, pull
the lever tow ard you or push the lever away from you as
desired .

This featu re allow s you to tilt the steering column
upward or downw ard . It also allow s you to lengthen or
shorten the steering column. The power tilt/ telescop ing
steering column lever is located below the multi-function
lever on the steering column.
NOTE: For vehicles equ ipped with Driver Mem ory
Seat, you can use you r rem ote keyless entry transm itter
or the memory switch on the driver’s door panel to
retu rn
the tilt/ telescop ic steering column to pre-
program med positions. Refer to “Driver Mem ory Seat”
in this section for details.
WARN ING!
Movin g the steerin g colu mn while the veh icle is
movin g is dangerou s. With out a stab le steerin g col-
umn, you could lose control of the veh icle and have
an accid ent. Adjust the colu mn only while the ve-
hicle is stop ped.
