If the door lock plunger is down when you shu t the door,
the door will lock. Therefore, make sure the keys are not
insid e the vehicle before closing the door.
Power Door Locks
A power door lock switch is on each front door trim
panel. Use this switch to lock or unlock the doors.

well as when you park and leave the veh icle.
When leavin g the veh icle alw ays rem ove the key
from the ign ition lock , and lock you r veh icle.
Unsupervised use of veh icle equipment may
cause severe person al injuries and death .

Never leave child ren alon e in a veh icle. Leavin g
child ren in a veh icle unatten ded is dangerou s for
a number of reason s. A child or oth ers could be
seriou sly or fatally injured . Don’t leave the keys
in the ign ition . A child could operate power
windows, oth er controls, or move the veh icle.
Pow er Door Lock Switch
If you press the power door lock switch while the key is
in the ignition, and any front door is open, the power
locks will not operate. This prevents you from acciden-
tally locking you r keys in the vehicle. Removing the key
or closing the door will allow the locks to operate. A
