Distance To Empty (DTE)
Show s the estim ated distance that can be travelled with
the fuel rem aining in the tank. This estim ated distance is
determ ined by a weighted average of the instantaneou s
and average fuel econom y, accord ing to the current fuel
tank level. This is not resettable.
Press and release the EVIC button to display one of eight
compass head ings to ind icate the direction the vehicle is
facing, the outsid e tem peratu re and the current rad io
station.
For additional inform ation regard ing the compass, refer
to Personal Settings (Custom er Program mable Featu res)
in this section.
NOTE: Significant changes in driving style or vehicle 4
load ing will greatly affect the actu al drivable distance of
the vehicle, regard less of the DTE displayed valu e.
Average Fuel Economy
When the DTE valu e is less than 30 miles estim ated
driving distance, the DTE display will change to a text
display ofЉLOW FUELЉ. This display will continu e until
the vehicle runs out of fuel. Adding a significant amount
of fuel to the vehicle will turn off the ЉLOW FUELЉ text
and a new DTE valu e will be displayed , based on the
current valu es in the DTE calculation and the current fuel
tank level.
Show s the average fuel econom y since the last reset.
When the fuel econom y is reset, the display will read
“RESET” or show dashes for two second s. Then, the
history inform ation will be erased , and the averaging will
continu e from where it was before the reset.
