STARTING PROCEDURES
Before starting  you r vehicle,  adjust  you r seat, adjust  both
insid e and  outsid e mirrors,   and  fasten  you r seat  belts.
WARN ING!
Be sure  to  turn  off  the  engin e  if you  want  to  rest  or
sleep  in  you r car.  Accid ents  can  be  caused  by  inad-
verten tly  movin g the  gear  selector   lever  or by  press-
ing  the  accelerator   pedal.   This  may  cause   excessive
heat  in  the  exhaust  system  , resu ltin g in  overh eatin g
and   veh icle  fire  which   may   cause  seriou  s or   fatal
injuries.
WARN ING!
Never   leave   child ren   alon e  in  a   veh icle.  Leavin g
child ren  in  a veh icle  unatten  ded  is  dangerou  s for  a
number   of  reason s.  A child  or  oth ers  could  be  seri-
ously  or  fatally  injured  . Don’t   leave  the  keys  in  the
ign ition .  A  child    could   operate    power   windows,
oth er controls,   or move  the  veh icle.

AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE
The  gear   selector  lever   must   be  in  the  NEUTRAL   or
PARK position  before you  can start  the engine.  Apply  the
brakes  and  depress   the  gear  selector  lever  knob   button
before  shifting  to any  driving   gear.
NOTE:    You must  press  the  brake  pedal  before  shifting
out  of PARK.
