Adding Coolan t

solu tion. The use of lower quality water will red uce
the amount of corrosion protection in the engine
cooling system .
Your vehicle has been built with an improved engine
coolant that allow s extend ed maintenance intervals. This
coolant can be used up to five Years or 100,000 miles
before rep lacem ent. To prevent red ucing this extend ed
maintenance period , it is important that you use the sam e
coolant throu ghou t the life of you r vehicle. Please review
these recom mend ations for using Hybrid Organic Addi-
tive Technology (HOAT) coolant.
Please note that it is the owner’s resp onsibility to main-
tain the prop er level of protection against freezing ac-
cord ing to the tem peratu res occurring in the area where
the vehicle is operated .
When adding coolant:
NOTE: Mixing coolant typ es will decrease the life of the
engine coolant and will requ ire more frequ ent coolant
changes.

Mix a minim um solu tion of 50% HOAT engine coolant
and distilled water. Use higher concentrations (not to
exceed 70%) if tem peratu res below Ϫ34° F (Ϫ37° C)
are anticip ated .
The cap must be fully tightened to prevent loss of
coolant, and to insu re that coolant will retu rn to the
rad iator from the coolant recovery bottle.
