TheAdvanceTrac௡withRSCindicatorlightwillflashwhenthesystem
isactivated.
Ifyourfootisonthebrakepedal,youwillfeelavibrationinthe
pedal.
Ifthedrivingconditionissevereandyourfootisnotonthebrake,the
brakepedalwillmovetoapplyhigherbrakeforces.Youmayalsohear
awhooshofairfromundertheinstrumentpanelduringthissevere
condition.
TractionControl
TractionControlhelpsyourvehiclemaintaintraction,whendrivingon
slipperyand/orhillyroadsurfaces,bydetectingandcontrollingwheel
spin.Excessivewheelspiniscontrolledbymomentarilyreducingengine
powerand/orapplyingtheanti-lockbrakes.TractionControlisadriver
aidthathelpsyourvehicle.
Ifyourvehicleshouldbecomestuckindeepsnowormud,tryswitching
theAdvanceTrac௡withRSCsystemoffbypressingtheAdvanceTrac௡
withRSCbuttonmomentarily.Thiswillallowyourtiresto“dig”for
traction.RemembertoswitchtheAdvanceTrac௡withRSCsystemback
ononcethevehicleisnolongerstuck.
IftheAdvanceTrac௡withRSCsystemisactivatedexcessivelyinashort
periodoftime,thebrakeportionofthesystemwilldisabletoallowthe
brakestocooldown.Inthissituation,TractionControlwilluseonly
enginepowerreductiontohelpcontrolthewheelsfromover-spinning.
Whenthebrakeshavecooleddown,thesystemwillagainfunction
normally.Anti-lockbraking,RSCandESCarenotaffectedbythis
conditionandwillfunctionnormallyduringthecool-downperiod.
Ifthevehicleisstuckinsnowormudorwhendrivingindeepsand,
switchingofftheAdvanceTracwithRSCsystemmaybebeneficialsothe
wheelsareallowedtospin.Ifyourvehicleseemstoloseenginepower
whiledrivingindeepsandorverydeepsnow,switchingoffthe
AdvanceTracwithRSCstabilityenhancementfeaturewillrestorefull
enginepowerandwillenhancemomentumthroughtheobstacle.
RemembertoswitchtheAdvanceTrac௡withRSCsystembackononce
thevehicleisnolongerstuck.
DuringTractionControleventsthe“slidingcar”icon
instrumentclusterwillflashmomentarily.

ElectronicStabilityControl(ESC)
TheElectronicStabilityControl(ESC)withRSCsystemmayenhance
yourvehicle’sstabilityduringadversemaneuvers.
