Ifthehardtopweretooperateunexpectedly,itcouldresultinanaccidentand
seriousinjuryfromsomeonegettingcaughtinthemechanism.
Alwaysdrivesafelyandobservethespeedlimit:
Rolloveraccidentsonahardtopvehiclearedangerous.Thehardtopisnotasstrong
asaregularsteelroof.Rolloveraccidentscoulddislodgeorcrushthehardtopand
causeseriousinjuriesorevendeath,justaswithnotop.
Sitintheseatwiththeseatbeltcorrectlyfastenedwhenthevehicleismoving:
Standinginthevehicle,orsittingonthedeckorcenterconsolewhenthevehicleis
movingisadangerouswaytoride.Duringasuddenmaneuverorcollisionyoucould
beseriouslyinjuredorevenkilled.
Alwayskeepyourhandsandfingersawayfromthefasteningmechanismswhen
movingthehardtop:
Itisdangeroustoplaceyourhandsorfingersnearthefasteningmechanisms.Your
handsorfingerscouldbecaughtandinjuredbythemechanism.
CAUTION
ØDonotdrivewiththehardtoppartiallyopened;thiscoulddamagethehardtopor
causeanunexpectedaccident.
ØChildrenshouldnotbeallowedtoplaywiththeopen/closeswitch.
ØDonotplaceobjectsorcargoaroundthedeck,rearglass,orthehardtopstorage
area.
Evensmallobjectsmayinterfereandcausedamage.
ØRemoveleavesthataccumulateonandaroundthehardtop.Iftheleavesarenot
removed,theymayblockthewaterdrainageoutlets.
ØBeforeopeningthehardtop,makesuretherearwindowdefoggerswitch
(Defroster)isturnedoff.Otherwisetheheatgeneratedfromthedefoggercould
damagethehardtopandtheinternalmaterial.
ØWhenopening/closingthehardtop,verifythatthereisnoobstructionabovethe
hardtop(about1.5mfromtheground)soasnottodamagethehardtoporthe
obstruction.
ØWhenopening/closingthehardtop,donotapplyanyloadtothehardtoporthe
deck.Theopening/closingmechanismofthehardtopmaybedamaged.
Open/closethehardtopwiththevehicleparkedonlevelgroundinasafeplacewherethe
l
vehicledoesnotobstructtraffic.Ifthehardtopisopened/closedonaslopeorbump,the
opening/closingmechanismofthehardtopmaybedamaged.
