Alwaysweareyeprotectionwhenworkingnearthebattery:
Workingwithouteyeprotectionisdangerous.BatteryfluidcontainsSULFURICACID
whichcouldcauseblindnessifsplashedintoyoureyes.Also,hydrogengasproduced
duringnormalbatteryoperation,couldigniteandcausethebatterytoexplode.
Weareyeprotectionandprotectiveglovestopreventcontactwithbattery
fluid:
Spilledbatteryfluidisdangerous.
BatteryfluidcontainsSULFURICACIDwhichcouldcauseseriousinjuriesifitgetsin
eyes,orontheskinorclothing.Ifthishappens,immediatelyflushyoureyeswith
waterfor15minutesorwashyourskinthoroughlyandgetmedicalattention.
Alwayskeepbatteriesoutofthereachofchildren:
Allowingchildrentoplaynearbatteriesisdangerous.Batteryfluidcouldcause
seriousinjuriesifitgetsintheeyesorontheskin.
Keepflamesandsparksawayfromopenbatterycellsanddonotallowmetal
toolstocontactthepositive( )ornegative( )terminalofthebatterywhen
workingnearabattery.Donotallowthepositive( )terminaltocontactthevehicle
body:
Flamesandsparksnearopenbatterycellsaredangerous.Hydrogengas,produced
duringnormalbatteryoperation,couldigniteandcausethebatterytoexplode.An
explodingbatterycancauseseriousburnsandinjuries.Keepallflamesincluding
cigarettesandsparksawayfromopenbatterycells.
