keyisplacedinthefollowingareas:

Tolockthedoors,presstherequest
switch.Abeepsoundwillbeheardonce
andthehazardwarninglightswillflash
once.

Tounlock
Aroundthedashboard
l
Inthestoragecompartmentssuchasthe
glovebox
l
Driver'sdoorrequestswitch
Tounlockthedriver'sdoor,pressthe
requestswitch.Abeepsoundwillbe
heardtwiceandthehazardwarninglights
willflashtwice.
Tounlockbothdoors,presstherequest
switchagainwithin3secondsandtwo
morebeepsoundswillbeheard.
Ontherearparcelshelf
l
Startingtheenginemaybepossibleevenif
theadvancedkeyisoutsideofthevehicle
andextremelyclosetoadoorandwindow,
however,alwaysstarttheenginefromthe
driver'sseat.
Ifthevehicleisstartedandtheadvanced
keyisnotinthevehicle,thevehiclewillnot
restartafteritisshutoffandtheignition
switchisturnedtothelockposition.
Iftheadvancedkeyisdetectedwithin
operationalrange,theoperationindicator
lightlocatedintheinstrumentcluster
flashesmomentarily.

Thehazardwarninglightswillflashtwiceto
indicatethatthedoorsareunlocked.

Thehazardwarninglightswillnotflash.

Thehazardwarninglightsonlyflashwhen

thetheftdeterrentsystemisarmedor
turnedoff,refertothetheft-deterrent
system(page3-72).

Bothdoorscanbelocked/unlockedby
pressingtherequestswitchonadoor
whiletheadvancedkeyisbeingcarried.
Passengerdoorrequestswitch
Tounlockthedoors,presstherequest
switch.Abeepsoundwillbeheardtwice
andthehazardwarninglightswillflash
twice.
