soundwillbeheardandtheKEYwarning
light(red)willflashcontinuouslywhen
thestartknobhasnotbeenreturnedtothe
LOCKpositiontonotifythedriverthat
theadvancedkeyhasbeenremoved.The
KEYwarninglight(red)willstopflashing
whentheadvancedkeyisbackinsidethe
vehicle:
Ifanymalfunctionoccursintheadvanced
keylessfunction,theKEYwarninglight
(red)intheinstrumentclusterilluminates
continuouslyandbeepsoundswillbe
heard.
CAUTION
IftheKEYwarninglight(red)remains
illuminated,donotcontinuetodrive
thevehiclewiththeadvancedkeyless
function.Parkthevehicleinasafe
placeandusetheauxiliarykeyto
continuedrivingthevehicle.Havethe
vehicleinspectedatanAuthorized
MazdaDealerassoonaspossible.
RefertoIgnitionSwitch(page5-2).
Thestartknobhasnotbeenreturnedto

theLOCKposition,thedriver'sdooris
open,andtheadvancedkeyisremoved
fromthevehicle.(Abeepsoundwillbe
heard3times.)
Howeverthebeepsoundwillbeheard
continuouslywhenthestartknobisin
theACCpositionandthedoorisopen
duetotheactivationofthewarning
beepsoundindicatingthatthestart
knobisnotintheLOCKposition.

IfthestartknobisintheACCposition

continuousbeepsoundwillbeheardto
notifythedriverthatthestartknobhasnot
beenreturnedtotheLOCKposition.In
thiscase,thekeylessentrysystemdoes
notoperate,thecarcannotbelocked,and
thebatterywillrundown.
NOTE
Becausetheadvancedkeyutilizeslow-intensity
radiowaves,theAdvancedKeyRemovedFrom
VehicleWarningmayactivateiftheadvanced
keyiscarriedtogetherwithametalobjectorit
isplacedinapoorsignalreceptionarea.

requestswitchforafrontdoorispressed
whiletheadvancedkeyisbeingcarried,a
