The rear  step lamp comes  on when
the mid sliding door is opened.

If  you  press  the  switch,   the  room
lamp turns on.When you want to turn
it off, press that switch once more.
The cargo bed lamp comes on when
the mid sliding door  and rear door is
opened, or  the cargo lamp  switch is
on.
