Locate the training button on the garage door motor
use either you r Universal Transceiver or you r original
hand -held transm itter to open you garage door.

Canadian Programming/Gate Programming
Canad ian frequ ency law s, and the technology of som e
entry gates, requ ire you to press and release the hand
held transm itter button every two second s during pro-
gram ming

Press and hold the training button on the garage door
opener head unit. This will activate the “training” light.
Continu e to press and hold the Universal Transceiver
button while you press and release the hand held trans-
mitter button until the frequ ency signal has been learned .
The Universal Transceiver light will flash slow ly and
then rap idly when the program ming is successfu l.
NOTE: After completing step 2, you have 30 second s to
start step 3.

Retu rn to the Universal Transceiver in the vehicle and
firm ly press and release the garage door button. Press
and release the button a second time to complete the
training process. Some garage door openers may requ ire
you to do this proced ure a third time to complete the
training.
NOTE: When program ming such a garage door opener
or gate, unp lug the device to prevent possible damage to
the garage door or gate motor.
Operation
Your garage door opener shou ld now recognize you r
Universal Transceiver. The rem aining two buttons may
now be program med if this has not previou sly been
done. Refer to the Program ming instru ctions. You may
Press and hold the desired button on the Universal
Transceiver until the garage door or other device begins
to operate. The light in the display show s that the signal
is being transm itted . The hand held transm itter may also
be used at any time.
