LABEL LOCATIONS
3. The Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) is
stamped on a plate visible through the
lowest part of the left side of the
windscreen. The number is also stamped
into the right side suspension tower.
Warning labels attached to your
vehicle bearing this symbol mean:
Do not touch or adjust components
until you have read the relevant
instructions in the handbook.
Note: If you need to communicate with a
Dealer/Authorised Repairer, you may be
asked to quote the VIN number.
The vehicle's built date is shown on the VIN
plate.
Labels showing this symbol indicate
that the ignition system utilises very
high voltages. Do not touch any
ignition components while the
starter switch is turned on.
Note: This is the calendar month and year
in which the body and power train
assemblies were conjoined and the vehicle
was driven from the production line. The
vehicle's built date is shown on the tyre
pressure label attached to the right side B
pillar.

Engine number: V6 and V8 Petrol - The
number is located on the front of the right
side cam cover.

Engine number: V6 Diesel - The number is
located on the front of the left side cam
cover.
Underside of loadspace cover - loadspace
cover warning label.
