with the engine running, a malfunction
has been detected. Pressing the
accelerator pedal will require greater
effort. Only partial engine output is
available.
This mode is effective at speeds up to
25 mph (40 km/h). It remains stored in
memory up to 37 mph (60 km/h) and
automatically engages again when the
vehicle speed drops below 25 mph (40
km/h).
Have the acceleration slip control
checked at your authorized Mercedes-
Benz dealer as soon as possible.

Driving with Snow Chains
When driving with snow chains, press
the upper half of the snow chain
switch, located on the instrument panel
(the indicator lamp in the switch
comes on) to obtain maximum possible
traction.
On vehicles equipped with acceleration
slip control, the brake pad wear
warning lamp indicates brake pad wear
for the front as well as the rear brakes.
