The trunk lid cannot be released by the
switch when previously locked with the
key. To open, refer to Trunk,
separately locked (in Index).
Shelf below Rear Window
Warning!
The shelf below the rear window
should not be used to carry objects.
This will prevent such objects from
being thrown about and injuring
vehicle occupants during an accident
or sudden maneuver.
Rear Window Defroster
Trunk Lid Release Switch
The switch is located in the center
console.
The switch is located in the center

The switches are located on the center
console and between the single rear
seats.
To open the trunk, the vehicle must
be parked and unlocked.
Press symbol side of switch.
When activating the rear window
defroster, the indicator lamp in the
switch will come on.
With vehicle centrally locked, the
trunk can also be opened by using
the infrared remote control. Aim
transmitter eye at receiver next to
trunk lid lock and press transmit
button twice.
