Use child safety seats that have been officially
approved and are appropriate for your children.
Your Hyundai vehicle is equipped with driver's
and front passenger's pre-tensioner seat belts.
Thepurposeofthepre-tensioneristomakesure
that the seat belts fit tightly against the occu-
pant's body in certain frontal collisions.
The pre-tensioner seat belts can be activated
alone or, where the frontal collision is severe
enough, together with the airbags.

To obtain maximum benefit from a pre-
tensioner seat belt:

Thepre-tensionerseatbeltoperatesinthesame
way as an Emergency Locking Retractor (ELR)
typeofseatbelt.Whenthevehiclestopssudden-
ly, or if the occupant tries to lean forward too
quickly, the seat belt retractor will lock into posi-
tion. However, in certain frontal collisions, the
pre-tensioner will activate and pull the seat belt
intotightercontactagainsttheoccupant'sbody.
NOTE:
1. The seat belt must be worn correctly.
2. The seat belt must be adjusted to the
correctposition.
Thisvehicleisequippedwiththetheranchor-
age and ISOFIX system to supply most suit-
able safety. we recommend to buy a child
restraint system to use thether anchorage
and ISOFIX system.
