Smart key unlock functions-
Programmable (if installed)
Hybrid transaxle
Shift position
The smart key unlocking function can be
programmed to operate in 3 different modes when
smart key is activated. In all modes, grasping the
passenger door handle will unlock all doors.
Driver side door only Grasp driver side handle to
unlock driver side door only.
Park button
All doors All doors will unlock by grasping driver
side, or back door handle.
Driver side and back door To open driver side door
or back door independently, grasp the handle.
The shift lever
always returns to
its original position
after shifting

Shift lever
Parking brake
The shift position is displayed on the instrument
cluster.
Park button
D,B,N
P:Push the Park button, when
the vehicle is completely stopped.
Reverse (Buzzer sounds)
Indicator light
P
R:Shift the lever while depressing
the brake pedal.
To set Depress the pedal.
To release Depress again.
D,B,N
R:Shift the lever when the vehicle
is completely stopped.
Tilt steering wheel
Neutral
D,B,P
N:Shift the lever and hold until
the “N” Neutral indicator is displayed.
From P to N, you must depress the brake
pedal.
Driving
P
D: Shift the lever while depressing
the brake pedal.
R
D: Shift the lever when the
vehicle is completely stopped.
D: Shift the lever.
To change the steering wheel angle Hold the
steering wheel, push the lock release lever down,
tilt to desired angle, and return the lever to its
locked position.
Note: Do not attempt to adjust while the vehicle
is in motion.
B,N
Engine brake Increases engine braking
Shift the lever only from “D” to “B” or
vice versa
Shifting the lever improperly will cause the rejection
function to operate. A beep will sound and the
hybrid transaxle cannot be shifted.
