MASTERFUL ENGINE TECHNOLOGY
With the Equus, performance is an art form. Acclaimed as
'2009 Ward's 10 Best Engines (USA)', the V8 engine is a
piece of refined modern sculpture with a world class power
unit. By using a sophisticated high pressure die-casting
system, the compact all-aluminium Tau V8 incorporates
variable valve timing and a variable induction system for
maximum efficiency. It is clean and lean, yet still delivers a
massive 366ps with 44.8 kg/m torque at 3,500rpm.
It redefines quiet and smooth driving, while still delivering
outstanding power and efficiency.

PRECISION, BALANCE AND HANDLING
The Hyundai Lambda V6 engine has already gained admiration
worldwide. In the Equus, it has been even further improved
in its latest form. Increased durability, reduced weight, lower noise
and vibration levels and improved fuel efficiency make it even more
refined. The result is a magic carpet-like performance delivered with
290ps and 36.5kg/m torque at 3,500rpm.
Wind tunnel testing delivers an ultra low 0.27 Co-
efficient of drag, minimizing fuel consumption and
cutting wind noise to virtually zero.
The magnificent handling, ride and road holding of the Equus are the result of interactive
development that matches innovation to design and engineering. New chassis
construction technology and high tensile materials have increased rigidity, while reducing
road noise and vibration. The suspension is uniquely tuned to the chassis, meaning that
no matter the conditions it is working at optimum efficiency. And, of course, there is the
aristocratic benefit of rear wheel drive allowing ideal front/rear weight distribution for
balanced and precise handling.
