Tie-down hook
(for flatbed towing, if equipped)
CAUTION - Automatic
transaxle
•
If the vehicle  is being towed  with
all four  wheels  on the  ground, it
can be towed only  from the front.
Be  sure  that  the transaxle  is  in
neutral.  Do   not  tow   at  speeds
greater  than  40   km/h  (25  mph)
and for more than 25 km (15 mile).
Be  sure   the   steering  wheel   is
unlocked  by placing  the  ignition
switch  in   the  ACC   position.  A
driver must be  in the towed vehi-
cle to  operate the steering  wheel
and brakes.
WARNING
Do  not  use  the  hooks  under  the
rear of  the  vehicle for  towing pur-
poses. These  hooks  are  designed
ONLY for  transport tie-down.  If the
tie-down  hooks  are  used for  tow-
ing,  the   tie-down   hooks  or   rear
bumper  will be  damaged  and  this
could lead to serious injury.

Before  towing,   check  the  auto-
matic  transaxle  fluid  leak  under
your   vehicle.   If  the   automatic
transaxle
fluid    is   leaking,    a
flatbed equipment or towing dolly
must be used.
