These optional systems are designed to see what you might miss. Using discrete
sensors hidden in the side and the rear bumpers, Blind Spot Monitoring alerts you
via an icon displayed in the appropriate door mirror when a vehicle enters a blind
spot on either side of your vehicle.
The standard Active Driveline delivers benefits in both on and off-road situations.
In many on-road driving conditions, the system is able to disconnect drive to the
rear of the vehicle. A sophisticated control strategy continuously monitors key
vehicle and environmental parameters. If the requirements for four-wheel drive
are met, the system seamlessly and imperceptibly reconnects the four-wheel drive
system within 300 milliseconds.
Optional Parallel Park identifies suitable parking spaces and automatically steers
into the space while you operate the pedals. Parking exit provides the same
assistance to maneuver out of the space.
If a vehicle approaches at speed from behind when changing lanes, the Closing
Vehicle Sensing function will alert you to the potential dangers by flashing the
icon in the door mirror.
Nine-speed Automatic Transmission

Range Rover Evoque now features a nine-speed automatic transmission, 16.6lbs
lighter than the previous six-speed model. Depending on driving style you could
see improvements in both fuel economy and CO2 emissions as well as greater
control in low-grip conditions or when towing through the specially-designed,
ultra-low first gear.
Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) is a radar based cruise control system that
helps maintain a pre-set gap from the vehicle in front, even if it changes speed.
Discretely mounted behind the front grille, it detects and monitors the vehicle
in front and sets the most appropriate speed. Queue Assist adds to ACC
functionality by ensuring the vehicle comes to a halt when it reaches traffic.
Intelligent Emergency Braking uses radar to detect vehicles travelling in the
same direction and is designed to reduce impact speed if it calculates that a
frontal collision is unavoidable.*
Land Rover InControl™ Apps enables you the option to use vehicle optimized
smartphone apps on the vehicles touch-screen. Using the InControl Apps USB
port you can enjoy a variety of vehicle optimized apps such as: Contacts, Calendar
and Music Player, with more third party vehicle optimized apps being released
over time. Your smartphone will also be re-charged while using InControl Apps.
