positions.Achildseatwithrigid
LATCHattachmentscannotbeinstalledatthisseatingposition.LATCH
compatiblechildseats(withattachmentsonbeltwebbing)canbeused
atthisseatingpositiononlyifthechildseatinstructionsstatethatthe
childseatcanbeinstalledtoanchorsthatare400mmapart.Donot
attachachildseattoanyloweranchorifanadjacentchildseatis
attachedtothatanchor.
Donotattachachildseattoanyloweranchorsusedforchild
seatinstallationifanadjacentchildseatisattachedtothat
anchor.Inacrash,oneanchormaynotbestrongenoughtoholdtwo
childseatattachmentsandmaybreak,causingseriousinjuryordeath.
Theloweranchorsforchildseat
installationarelocatedattherear
sectionoftherearseatbetweenthe
cushionandseatback.Eachlower
anchorforchildseatinstallationis
located2–3inchesbelowthelocator
symbols.
Followthechildseatmanufacturer’s
instructionstoproperlyinstallsafety
seatswithLATCHloweranchors
andLATCH-compatibleattachments.
Attachtheloweranchorsforchildseatinstallationorlower
anchorsforchildseatinstallationcompatiblechildseatsonlyto
theappropriatelocationsshown.
