possible,however,trytoonlyfill
thebatterycellswithdistilled
water.Ifthebatteryneedswater
often,havethechargingsystem
checked.
Forlonger,trouble-freeoperation,
keepthetopofthebatteryclean
anddry.Also,makecertainthe
batterycablesarealwaystightly
fastenedtothebatteryterminals.
Ifyouseeanycorrosiononthe
batteryorterminals,removethe
cablesfromtheterminal(s)and
cleanwithawirebrush.Youcan
neutralizetheacidwithasolution
ofbakingsodaandwater.Reinstall
thecableswhenyouaredone
cleaningthem,andapplyasmall
quantityofgreasetothetopof
eachbatteryterminaltohelp
preventcorrosion.
Ifyourbatteryhasa
cover/shield,makesureitis
reinstalledafterthebatteryis
replaced.
Becauseyourvehicle’sengineis
electronicallycontrolledbya
computer,somecontrolconditions
aremaintainedbypowerfromthe
battery.Whenthebatteryis
disconnectedoranewbatteryis
installed,theenginemustrelearn
itsidleconditionsbeforeyour
vehiclewilldriveproperly.To
