Active Park Assist with Parktronic
If you love driving but dread parking, we’ve
got good news for you. The A-Class is available
with optional Active Park Assist, an ingenious
new system that makes for hassle-free parking
manoeuvres. Drive past a space and it assesses
whether the car will fit, then, as soon as you
engage reverse, steers you in all by itself.
All you have to do is use the pedals to adjust
your speed as required. As you get close to
another car or obstacle, the system lets you know
how much space you’ve got left via audible and
visual warnings.
Proximity sensors in the front and rear bumpers monitor the
distance to the nearest vehicle or obstacle
The display in the instrument cluster provides information on
the parking manoeuvre
