OWNER MAINTENANCE
Arduous driving conditions
When a vehicle is used in arduous driving
conditions, more frequent attention must
be paid to servicing requirements. Even
DAILY servicing could be necessary to
ensure the continued safe and reliable
operation of the vehicle.
Good maintenance starts at home.
In addition to the routine services and
inspections, a number of simple checks
must be carried out more frequently.
These checks are listed in the
Maintenance section of your Owner’s
Handbook. Fluid specifications and
capacities are shown in the TECHNICAL
SPECIFICATIONS.
Arduous driving conditions include:

Driving in dusty and/or sandy
conditions.
Driving on rough and/or muddy road
surfaces.
Brake fluid and engine coolant
replacement
Driving in countries with high ambient
temperatures above 50°C.
Brake fluid must be completely replaced
at specific intervals. Some brake system
components may also need to be
replaced. The intervals are indicated on
the Maintenance Check Sheet.

Driving in severe cold weather.
Driving in areas using road salt or
other corrosive materials.
The engine coolant (antifreeze and water
solution) must also be replaced at 10 year
or 150,000 mile (whichever comes first)
intervals.

Towing a trailer or driving in
mountainous conditions.
Vehicles subjected to these operating
conditions must be serviced according
with the Arduous Conditions servicing
schedules. Contact your Jaguar
Dealer/Authorised Repairer for more
information.
Your Jaguar Dealer/Authorised Repairer
will replace the fluids at the scheduled
service.
Note: Replacement of fluids is subject to
extra labour and material cost.
Main Services
It is very important that Main services are
carried out throughout the life of the
vehicle, at either the distance or monthly
intervals (whichever is the sooner) shown
in the Service Interval Plan.
