VehicleswithcatalyticconvertersoroxygensensorsmustuseONLYUNLEADEDFUEL,

whichwillreduceexhaustemissionsandkeepsparkplugfoulingtoaminimum.

YourMazdawillperformbestwithfuellistedinthetable.

toloseeffectiveness.Itcouldalsocauseengineknockingandseriousenginedamage.

CAUTION

USEONLYUNLEADEDFUEL.

Leadedfuelisharmfultothecatalyticconverterortheoxygensensor.Theleadwill

accumulateontheoxygensensorandthecatalystinsidetheconverter.Thiswillresult

inamalfunctionoftheemissioncontrolsystem,causingpoorperformance.

Yourvehiclecanonlyuseoxygenatedfuelscontainingnomorethan10%ethanolby

volume.Damagetoyourvehiclemayoccurwhenethanolexceedsthis

recommendation,orifthegasolinecontainsanymethanol.Stopusinggasoholofany

kindifyourvehicleengineisperformingpoorly.

Neveraddfuelsystemadditives.Neveraddcleaningagentsotherthanthosespecified

byMazda.Othercleaningagentsandadditivesmaydamagethesystem.Consultan

AuthorizedMazdaDealer.

Gasolineblendedwithoxygenatessuchasalcoholorethercompoundsaregenerally

referredtoasoxygenatedfuels.Thecommongasolineblendthatcanbeusedwithyour

vehicleisethanolblendedatnomorethan10%.Gasolinecontainingalcohol,suchas

ethanolormethanol,maybemarketedunderthename“Gasohol”.

Vehicledamageanddrivabilityproblemsresultingfromtheuseofthefollowingmaynot

becoveredbytheMazdawarranty.

Gasolineorgasoholcontainingmethanol.
