It’s reassuring to feel safe in all conditions; and the Passat
CC excels in passive safety measures. A galvanised steel
body, intelligent technology and protective measures –
laser welding, rigid body construction and impact-resisting
passenger safety cell – promise peace of mind. The Passat
CC’s 12-year anti-corrosion perforation warranty is
further evidence of Volkswagen’s commitment to safety.

leaving home’ function that illuminates the area around
your Passat CC at night.
Volkswagen’s active safety system, standard in both the
125TDI and V6 FSI, features an Electronic Stabilisation
Program (ESP) that detects critical situations and brakes
individual wheels, reducing engine output and returning
control to the driver. ESP is supported by an Anti-Lock
Braking System (ABS) and Brake Assist to recognise
emergency braking situations and automatically increase
the braking effect. Electronic Brake-Pressure Distribution
(EBD) regulates front/rear brake pressure ratios, ensuring
the Passat CC brakes optimally, while Anti-Slip Regulation
(ASR) enhances traction control. The Passat CC’s combination
of all these features assures the driver of greater control
and maximised braking efficiency, when needed.
The Passat CC is fitted with three-point, inertia reel seat
belts with front and rear seat belt pretensioners and front
belt force limiters. Meanwhile, a total of eight airbags
(as standard) provide protection upon impact: driver and
passenger front and side airbags, rear seat passenger side
airbags and full length curtain airbags, to help protect
both front and rear passengers in a side impact.
