The V6 CDI diesel is allied to our proven 5-speed automatic trans-
mission (available as an option for 4-cylinder CDI diesel models)
The Viano comes with a choice of three advanced CDI diesel engines,
each of which offers new levels of power and efficiency. Along with two
new 4-cylinder CDI engines, there’s also a V6 CDI diesel that now boasts
an increased output of 224hp (165kW) and peak torque of 440Nm,
enabling it effortlessly to handle even the toughest of tasks. All three
CDI diesel models deliver significantly lower fuel consumption, reduced
exhaust emissions and even smoother operation than their predecessors
and meet EU5/III emissions standards.
The ideal counterpart for the 4-cylinder CDI diesel engines is
the newly developed ECO Gear 6-speed manual transmission.
This helps to further increase fuel efficiency thanks to more
widely spaced ratios, a broader transmission ratio range and a
reduction in engine speeds
