Adjustable Intermittent Wiper
Operation
To use the intermittent wiper feature,
place the wiper switch (1) in the "INT (-
--)" position.
With the switch in this position, the
interval between wipes can be varied
fromapproximately1to18secondsby
turning the interval adjuster barrel.

Windshield wiper
Operates as follows when the ignition
switch is turned ON.

cycle, push the lever upward

if the lever is pushed upward

Windshield Washer Operation
To use the windshield washer, pull the
wiper/washerlevertowardthesteering
wheel. When the washer lever is oper-
ated, the wipers automatically make
two passes across the windshield.
The washer continues to operate until
the lever is released.
OFF(0) : Wiper is not in operation
INT(---) :Wiperoperatesintermittently
at the same wiping intervals.

mist. To vary the speed set-
ting, turn the speed control
knob. (If installed)

To adjust the headlight beam level ac-
cording to the number of the passen-
gersandtheloadingweightinthecargo
area, turn the beam leveling switch.
The higher the number of the switch
position, the lower the headlight beam
level.Alwayskeeptheheadlightbeam
attheproperlevelingposition,orhead-
lights may dazzle other road users.
Listedbelowaretheexamplesofproper
switch settings. For loading conditions
other than those listed below, adjust
the switch position so that the beam
level may be the nearest as the condi-
tion obtained according to the list.
LO (1) : Normal wiper speed
HI (2) : Fast wiper speed
NOTE:
o Do not operate the washer more
than15secondsatatimeorwhen
the fluid reservoir is empty.
o Inicyorfreezingweather,besure
the wiper blades are not frozen to
the glass prior to operating the
wipers.
o In areas where water freezes in
winter, use windshield washer
antifreeze.
NOTE:
Topreventdamagetothewipersys-
tem, do not attempt to wipe away
heavyaccumulationsofsnoworice.
Accumulatedsnowandiceshouldbe
removed manually. If there is only a
lightlayerofsnoworice,operatethe
heaterinthedefrostmodetomeltthe
snow or ice before using the wiper.
