someone.Connectthecabletoapoint
awayfromthebattery.
Connectthejumpercablesintheexact
sequenceasintheillustration.
Connectoneendofacabletothe

positiveterminalonthedischarged
battery(1).
Attachtheotherendtothepositive
terminalontheboosterbattery(2).
4. Starttheengineoftheboostervehicle
andrunitafewminutes.Thenstartthe
engineoftheothervehicle.

Connectoneendoftheothercable

tothenegativeterminalofthe
boosterbattery(3).
5. Whenfinished,carefullydisconnectthe
cablesinthereverseorderdescribedin
Step3.
Connecttheotherendtoasolid,

stationary,exposedmetallicpoint
(forexample,thetrunklatchcatch)
awayfromthedischargedbattery
(4).
