theengineisidling,andtheoutside
temperatureisabove20°C(70°F),the
fluidlevelshouldbecloseto,butnot
above,thebottomnotchonthedipstick.
SuddenVehicleMovement:
Shiftingtheshiftleverwithoutfirst
depressingthebrakepedalis
dangerous.Thevehiclecouldmove
suddenlyandcauseanaccident.
Makesurethebrakepedalisapplied
beforeshiftingtheshiftlever.
NOTE
Usethecoldscaleasareference.

dipstick,wipeitclean.
Fullyinsertthedipstick.Whenadding
fluid,inspectwiththedipsticktomake
sureitdoesn'tpassfull.
Putthedipstickbackintothefillertube
andmakesureitisfullyseated.
NOTE
Pullthedipstickoutandreadthefluid
level.
Inspectthefluidonbothsidesofthe
dipstickinawelllitareaforanaccurate
reading.
