Performingmaintenanceworkonavehicleisdangerousifnotdoneproperly.Youcan
beseriouslyinjuredwhileperformingsomemaintenanceprocedures.Ifyoulack
sufficientknowledgeandexperienceorthepropertoolsandequipmenttodothework,
haveitdonebyaqualifiedtechnician.
RunningtheEngine:
Workingunderthehoodwiththeenginerunningisdangerous.Itbecomesevenmore
dangerouswhenyouwearjewelryorlooseclothing.
Eithercanbecomeentangledinmovingpartsandresultininjury.
Therefore,ifyoumustruntheenginewhileworkingunderthehood,makecertain
thatyouremovealljewelry(especiallyrings,bracelets,watches,andnecklaces)and
allneckties,scarves,andsimilarlooseclothingbeforegettingneartheengineor
coolingfanwhichmayturnonunexpectedly.
ElectricalFanandEngineInspection:
InspectingtheenginewiththeignitionswitchintheONpositionisdangerous.The
coolingfancouldcomeonunexpectedlyevenwhentheengineisn'trunning.You
couldbeseriouslyinjuredbythefan.Turntheignitionswitchoffandremovethekey
fromtheignitionswitchwhenyouinspecttheengine.
