E 63 AMG technology
The E 63 AMG delivers breathtaking performance, power and agility – and lets you switch between sport and comfort settings at the touch of a button.
AMG 6.3-litre V8 engine. The E63 AMG’s V8
engine boasts race-honed components such as
a dual-length magnesium intake manifold with
internal throttle valves and a high-tech valve
train. They help it achieve a highly impressive
set of figures: developing 525hp (386kW) and
AMG Speedshift MCT 7-speed automatic
transmission. This high-tech transmission
offers the ultimate in flexibility. In addition
to Race Start and automatic throttle blipping,
it also provides four individual transmission
modes: Comfort, or ‘C’ for short, optimises fuel
economy, while ‘S’ (Sport), ‘S+’ (Sport Plus)
and ‘M’ (Manual) deliver a more performance-
orientated drive, wit
AMG Ride Control sports suspension.
The E63 AMG features a wider front axle that
considerably improves lateral dynamics, and
boasts an electronically controlled damping
system that instantly maximises agility or
comfort according to the situation. Its set-up
can also be adjusted to suit the driver’s tastes
and needs: the AMG Ride Control sports
suspension comes with manually selectable
‘Comfort’, ‘Sport’ and ‘Sport Plus’ modes, and
there’s a choice of ‘On’, ‘Off’ or ‘Sport’ settings
for the Electronic Stability Programme (ESP).
In addition, E63 AMG models feature AMG
speed-sensitive sports steering with a more
direct ratio for enhanced precision and feel,
plus AMG high-performance brakes whose

seconds (Estate).
