Raise the hood slightly, pull the 4. Pull out the support rod and hold
secondary latch (1) inside of the the hood open with the support
hood center until it releases the rod (1).

Park the vehicle and set the park-
ing brake.
Pull the release lever located
under the lower left corner of the
dashboard to unlatch the hood.
The hood should pop up slightly.
WARNING
Grasp the support rod in the
area wrapped in rubber. The
rubber will help prevent you
from being burned by hot metal
when the engine is hot.
