● Check the operation of warning lights
whenkeyisturnedtotheON(3)position.

inextremelycoldorhotweather,de-
presstheacceleratorpedalandhold
ittohelpstarttheengine.

Applytheparkingbrake.

Make sure all windows and lights are
clean.
Move the selector lever to P (Park) or N
(Neutral).(Ppreferred.)
CAUTION
●
Check fluid levels such as engine oil,
coolant, brake and clutch fluid, window
washer fluid as frequently as possible, at
leastwheneveryourefuel.
NOTE:
Do not operate the starter for more
than 10 seconds at a time. If the
engine does not start, turn the key
off and wait 10 seconds before
crankingagain,otherwisethestarter
couldbedamaged.
Theselectorlevercannotbemovedout
of P and into any of the other gear
positionsiftheignitionkeyisturnedto
LOCKorifthekeyisremovedfromthe
switch.

Checktobesurethatallwindowsandlight
lensesareclean.
Visually inspect tires for condition. Also
checktirepressure.
Thestarterisdesignednottooperateif
the selector lever is in one of the
drivingpositions.
4. Warm-up
Allow the engine to idle for at least 30
Lockalldoors.
