ambient temperatures, the 2WD
modemaybebeingengageddue
tomalfunctioningdrivesystem.If
the indicator does not return to
normal and the 4WD warning
light comes on, have the system
checked by the nearest INFINITI
dealer.
CAUTION
●
When the 4WD shift switch is
shifted to the AUTO position at
low ambient temperatures, the
4WDindicatorlightshowsLOCK.
Inthiscase,torquedistributionis
inthevicinityoftheLOCKcondi-
tion. Be careful as tight braking
phenomenon will occur, or the
vehicle may become difficult to
turn.Ifthevehicleisoperatedfor
some time, the 4WD indicator
lightindicationchangestoAUTO.

The 4WD indicator light is located in the
tachometer.
Thelightshouldturnoffwithin1secondafter
turningtheignitionswitchtoON.
While the engine is running, the four wheel
drive indicator light will illuminate the posi-
tionselectedbythetransfershiftleverand/or
4WDshiftswitch.
● Ifthe4WDindicatorlightindica-
tion changes to 2WD when the
4WDshiftswitchisshiftedtothe
