FUELFILTER RENEWAL

Clean the area around the fuel filter.
Before carrying out any work on the fuel
system, it is essential that you have read and
understood the precautions listed at the
beginning of the section (see ’Fuelsystem
safety’).
Disconnect the multi-plug (3) from the
filter.

Unscrewand remove the fuel filter element
(4).
Clean the mating face of the new filter
element.
The fuel filter is located behind a protective
cover on the right hand side of the chassis
rear side member, near the rear wheel. To
remove the protective cover, undo the twist
clip (2) and pull the cover off the locating
pegs.
Fit the new element and connect the
multi-plug.
Refit the protective cover - locate the
cover over the 3 locating pegs, then
tighten the twist clip.

Turn the starter switch to position ’0’and
disconnect the batterynegative lead.
•
reconnect the battery.
