andattachinghardwareshouldbeinspectedbyaqualified
technicianafteranycollision.Safetybeltassembliesnotinuseduringa
collisionshouldalsobeinspectedandreplacedifeitherdamageor
improperoperationisnoted.
Disconnectthecombinationlap/shoulderbeltandallowittoretract
completelytodisengagetheautomaticlockingmodeandactivatethe
vehiclesensitive(emergency)lockingmode.
Afteranyvehiclecollision,thefrontpassengeroutboardseatbelt
systemmustbecheckedbyaqualifiedtechniciantoverifythat
the“automaticlockingretractor”featureforchildseatsisstill
functioningproperly.Inaddition,allseatbeltsshouldbecheckedfor
properfunction.
BELTANDRETRACTORASSEMBLYMUSTBEREPLACEDif
theseatbeltassembly“automaticlockingretractor”featureor
anyotherseatbeltfunctionisnotoperatingproperlywhenchecked
accordingtotheproceduresinWorkshopManual.
FailuretoreplacetheBeltandRetractorassemblycould
increasetheriskofinjuryincollisions.

Yourvehiclehassafetybeltheight
adjustmentsforthedriverandfront
passenger.Adjusttheheightofthe
shoulderbeltsothebeltrests
acrossthemiddleofyourshoulder.
Tolowertheshoulderbeltheight,
pushthebuttonandslidetheheight
adjusterdown.Toraisetheheight
oftheshoulderbelt,slidetheheight
adjusterup.Pulldownontheheight
adjustertomakesureitislockedin
place.
