TheSRSusesareadinesslightintheinstrumentclusteroratoneto
indicatetheconditionofthesystem.RefertoAirbagreadinesssection
intheInstrumentclusterchapter.Routinemaintenanceoftheairbagis
notrequired.
Adifficultywiththesystemisindicatedbyoneormoreofthefollowing:

Thereadinesslightwilleither
flashorstaylit.
Thereadinesslightwillnot
illuminateimmediatelyafter
ignitionisturnedon.

Aseriesoffivebeepswillbeheard.Thetonepatternwillrepeat
periodicallyuntiltheproblemand/orlightarerepaired.
Ifanyofthesethingshappen,evenintermittently,havetheSRSserviced
atyourdealershiporbyaqualifiedtechnicianimmediately.Unless
serviced,thesystemmaynotfunctionproperlyintheeventofa
collision.
Disposalofairbagsandairbagequippedvehicles

Fordisposalofairbagsorairbagequippedvehicles,seeyourlocal
dealershiporqualifiedtechnician.AirbagsMUSTBEdisposedofby
qualifiedpersonnel.
