StepsforDeterminingCorrectLoadLimit
6. Ifyourvehiclewillbetowingatrailer,loadfromyour
trailer will be transferred to your vehicle. Consult this
manual to determine how this reduces the available
cargoandluggageloadcapacityofyourvehicle.

Locatethestatement“Thecombinedweightofoccu-
pants and cargo should never exceed XXX pounds” on
yourvehicle’ splacard.
NOTE: Thefollowingtableshowsexamplesonhowto
calculatetotalload,cargo/luggageandtowingcapacities
ofyourvehiclewithvaryingseatingconfigurationsand
number and size of occupants. This table is for illustra-
tion purposes only and may not be accurate for the
seatingandloadcarrycapacityofyourvehicle.

Determine the combined weight of the driver and
passengersthatwillberidinginyourvehicle.
Subtract the combined weight of the driver and pas-
sengersfromXXXkilogramsorXXXpounds.
The resulting figure equals the available amount of

amount equals 1400 lbs. and there will be five 150 lb.
passengersinyourvehicle,theamountofavailablecargo
andluggageloadcapacityis650lb.(since5x150=750,
