failureorcondition.
CAUTION!
TheTPMsystemhasbeenoptimizedfortheoriginal
equipmenttiresandwheels.TPMsystempressures
havebeenestablishedforthetiresizeequippedon
your vehicle. Undesirable system operation or sen-
sor damage may result when using replacement
equipmentthatisnotofthesamesize,type,and/or
style.After-marketwheelscancausesensordamage.
Do not use tire sealant or balance beads if your
vehicleisequippedwithaTPMsystem,asdamage
tothesensorsmayresult.
TheTPMsystemshouldnotbeusedasatirepressure
gaugewhileadjustingyourtirepressure.
CAUTION!

After inspecting or adjusting the tire pressure al-
waysreinstallthevalvestemcap,ifequipped.This
will prevent moisture and dirt from entering the
valve stem, which could damage the wheel rim
sensor.
NOTE:
•
The TPM system can inform the driver of a low tire
pressure condition of 26 psi [1.79 bars] (179 kPa) or
less, or high a tire pressure condition of 45 psi [3.10
bars](310kPa)ormore.
