Child Seat Restraint Suitability
For Seat Position
vehicle rear seat belt metal latch
plates or tabs must be latched
securelyintheirseatbeltbuckles
andtheseatbeltwebbingmustbe
retractedbehindthechildrestraint
topreventthechildfromreaching
andtakingholdofunretractedseat
belts. Unlatchedmetallatchplates
or tabs may allow the child to
reach the unretracted seat belts
whichmayresultinstrangulation
andaseriousinjuryordeathtothe
child in the child restraint.
o Donotmountmorethanonechild
restraint to a single tether or a
child restraint lower anchorage
point.Theimproperincreasedload
may cause the anchorage points
ortetheranchortobreak,causing
serious injury or death.
Use child safety seats that have been
officiallyapprovedandareappropriate
for your children.
When using the child safety seats,
refer to the following table.

the middle of the rear seat to the
ISOFIX anchors. In a crash, the
childseatISOFIXattachmentsmay
not be strong enough to secure
thechildrestraintseatproperlyin
thecenteroftherearseatandmay
break, causing serious injury or
death.
