Ifyouknowthefrequencyoftheradio
stationyouareseeking,oryouneedtoselect
aradiostationthatistooweaktobefound
byautomatictuning,usemanualtuning,as
follows:
Selectthedesiredwaveband(FMorAM),
thenpressthe’MAN’button(6).Bybriefly
pressingeithertuningbutton(5),the
frequencychanges(eitherupordown)in
stepsof0.1MHzforFM,or1kHzforMW
andLW.

Bykeepingeithermanualtuningbutton
depressed,thewavebandisscannedrapidly
(upordown)untilthebuttonisreleased.
Selectthedesiredwaveband(FMorAM)and
presstheSCANbutton(8).Theradioscans
throughthewaveband,seekingstationsof
acceptablestrength(thewaveband,

Selecttherequiredwaveband(FMorAM),
thenbrieflypressoneofthetuningbuttons
frequencyand’SC’aredisplayed).Theradio
stopsateachoneitfindsandplaysthat
stationfor5seconds,theradiothenmutes
andscansforthenextstation.

Theradioautomaticallysearchesthe
frequencyrange(eitherupordown
dependinguponwhichbuttonispressed)
lookingforastationofacceptablestrength.

Tostopthescan,pressthebuttonagain-
theradiocommencesplayingthestationat
whichthescanwasstopped.
NOTE:Ifyouhaveacartelephonewitha
mutesignaloutputconnectedtotheradio,
theradioautomaticallymuteswhenthe
telephoneisinuse.
Thesearchcanbestoppedatanytimeby
pressinganypre-setbutton.
MONO/STEREO
WhenevertheFMwavebandisselected,the
radioautomaticallyreproducesstereosound,
providedasuitablesignalisavailable.
However,ifasignalbecomestooweakfor
goodstereoreception,onlymonosoundis
produceduntilthesignalstrengthens
sufficientlyforstereosoundreproduction.
