stationsthatarelinkedtothesamenetwork

WhentheradioisintheTrafficmode,CDor
tapeplayisinterruptedbytrafficinformation
broadcastsautomaticallyasandwhenthey
occur.

Thevolumeoftrafficandnewsinformation
broadcastscanbesetindependentlyfrom
thevolumerequiredforotheraudio
functions,asfollows:
BRIEFLYpresstheTrafficbutton(9)-the
TRAFFICindicatorilluminatesinthe
display.

Anyavailabletrafficinformationthen
broadcastsautomaticallyasandwhenit
occurs(evenifyouarelisteningto
cassettetapesorCDs).
Waitforatrafficornewsannouncementto
occur,thenduringthebroadcast,adjustthe
volumetothedesiredlevel(thisislikelyto
begreaterthanthatrequiredfornormal
audiooutput).Oncethisvolumehasbeen
set,itwillbememorisedbytheaudiounit
andreplicatedautomaticallynexttimea
trafficornewsannouncementisbroadcast.
Duringtrafficannouncementsthedisplay
flashes’TRAFFICINFO’alternatelywiththe
nameoftheradiostationprovidingthe
information.
IftheradioistunedtoanFMstationthatis
notnetworkedtoastationthatdoesprovide
trafficinformation,thedisplayflashes’NO
TRAFFIC’.Inthiscase,eitherswitchoff
trafficinformation,orswitchtoanFMstation
thatdoesbroadcasttrafficinformation.
Notethatfurtheradjustmenttothevolume
canbecarriedoutduringanysubsequent
trafficornewsannouncement.
Inremoteareas,itmaybeimpossibletofind
atrafficinformationstation.Theradio
searchesthewavebandtwice;ifastation
cannotbefound,theradioswitchesoff
trafficandreturnstothestationtowhichit
waspreviouslytuned.
