WARNINGS IN THIS HANDBOOK

Your Discovery has a higher ground
clearance and hence, a higher center of
gravity than ordinary passenger cars, to
enable the vehicle to perform in a wide
variety of off-road applications. An
advantage of the higher ground clearance
is a better view of the road allowing you
to anticipate problems.
Safety warnings are included in this
handbook. These indicate a procedure which
must be followed precisely in order to avoid
the possibility of personal injury or serious
damage to the vehicle.
SYMBOLS USED
The vehicle is not designed for cornering
at the same speed as conventional
passenger cars any more than a
low-slung sports car is designed to
perform satisfactorily under off-road
conditions. If at all possible, avoid sharp
turns or abrupt maneuvers. As with other
vehicles of this type, failure to operate
the Discovery correctly may result in loss
of control or vehicle rollover. For
