The TPMS system is not intended to replace normal
tirecareandmaintenance,nortoprovidewarningofa
tirefailureorcondition.
CAUTION!
TheTPMSsystemhasbeenoptimizedfortheorigi-
nalequipmenttiresandwheels.TPMSsystempres-
sures have been established for the tire size
equippedonyourvehicle.Undesirableoperationor
sensor damage may result when using replacement
equipmentthatisnotofthesamesize,type,and/or
style.After-marketwheelscancausesensordamage.
Do not use tire sealant or balance beads if your
vehicleisequippedwithTPMSsystemasdamageto
thesensorsmayresult.
•
The TPMS system should not be used as a tire
pressuregaugewhileadjustingyourtirepressure.
CAUTION!
After inspecting or adjusting the tire pressure al-
waysreinstallthevalvestemcap.Thiswillprevent
moisture and dirt entry into the valve stem, which
coulddamagethewheelrimsensor.
NOTE:
•
TheTPMSsystemcaninformthedriverofalowtire
pressureconditionof28psi[1.9bars](193kPa)orless.
